Şizofreni hastalarının önemli bir kısmı ilaç tedavilerine rağmen geçmeyen belirtilerle yaşamalarını sürdürürler. Bilişsel işlevsellik sorunları toplumsal işlevselliklerini olumsuz etkilemektedir. Bilişsel işlevsellik alanlarındaki bozulmaların giderilmesi psikiyatrik iyileştirimin ana hedeflerindendir. Bu yazıda şizofreninin bilişsel iyileştiriminde kullanılan bilişsel davranışçı tedavi, toplumsal beceri eğitimi ve bilişsel onarım tedavisinin temel uygulama ilkeleri anlatılacak ve çalışmaların sonuçları değerlendirilecektir.

Most patients with schizophrenia have experience persistent symptoms in spite of the successful drug treatment. Community functions of the patients are negatively affected by their cognitive dysfunctions. Therefore, remediation of the cognitive dysfunctions is a main target of the psychiatric rehabilitation. In this article, basic principles and results of the studies for the cognitive behavioral treatment, social skills training, and cognitive remediation treatment, which were used in the cognitive rehabilitation of schizophrenia, are to be reviewed.
