Bu araştırmanın amacı, Bilinçli Farkındalık Temelli Bilişsel Terapi Programının şizofreni tanısı almış bireylerde depresif belirti, pozitif ve negatif belirti düzeyleri üzerindeki etkisinin incelenmesidir. Çalışma grubunu katılım ölçütlerini karşılayan ve 28-57 yaş aralığında 11 erkek şizofreni hastası oluşturmaktadır. Çalışmanın bağımsız değişkeni; ön test ve son test arasında çalışma grubuna uygulanan Bilinçli Farkındalık Temelli Bilişsel Terapi Programıdır. Araştırmanın bağımlı değişkeni ise çalışma grubunda yer alan şizofreni hastalarının depresif belirti, pozitif ve negatif belirti düzeyleridir. Her biri 90 dakika süren 10 oturumluk program toplam 10 hafta boyunca uygulanmıştır. Katılımcılara programdan önce, programın sonunda ve 12 haftalık izlemde araştırmacı ve bağımsız bir değerlendirici tarafından Beck Depresyon Ölçeği (BDÖ) ve Pozitif ve Negatif Sendrom Ölçeği (PANSS) uygulanmıştır. Sonuçlar, Bilinçli Farkındalık Temelli Terapi Programının hastaların depresif belirti, pozitif ve negatif belirti düzeyleri üzerinde etkili olduğunu göstermektedir. Son ölçümlerde elde edilen olumlu etkinin 12 hafta sonra da devam ettiği görülmüştür. Araştırmanın sonuçları, sınırlılıkları ve güçlü yanları alanyazın ışığında tartışılmıştır

The aim of this study is to examine the effects of Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy Program on depressive symptom, positive and negative symptom levels in schizophrenia patients. The study group consisted of 11 male schizophrenic patients aged between 28 and 57 who met the inclusion criteria. The research’s independent variable is a Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy Program that was implemented in the study group during the pre-test and post-test periods. The dependent variable of the study is the depressive symptom, positive and negative symptom levels of the schizophrenia patients in the study group. The program of 10 sessions, each lasting 90 minutes, was implemented in a total of 10 weeks. The Beck Depression Scale (BDI) and the Positive and Negative Syndrome Scale (PANSS) were applied to the participants by the researcher and an independent evaluator before, at the end of the program and during evaluating period of 12 week. The study’s findings show that the Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy Program is effective on the depressive symptom, positive and negative symptom levels of the patients. It was observed that the positive effect obtained in the last measurements continued after 12 weeks. The results, limitations and strengths of the research are discussed in the light of the literature.
