Şizofrenide görülen bilişsel işlev bozuklukları hastalığın pozitif ve negatif belirtileri gibi temel özelliklerinden birisi olarak kabul edilmektedir. Şizofreni hastalarının sağlıklı bireylere kıyasla pek çok bilişsel alanda daha kötü performans gösterirler. Bilişsel bozukluklar, şizofreni hastalarının psikososyal işlevsellikleri ile bozukluğun diğer belirtilerine oranla daha güçlü bir ilişki içindedir. Bu nedenle bilişsel işlevler şizofreni hastalarının değerlendirilmesinde büyük önem taşımaktadır. Bu yazıda, şizofrenide sık görülen bilişsel işlev bozuklukları tanımlanacak ve bu alanda son yıllarda gerçekleştirilen çalışmalar gözden geçirilecektir

Cognitive disorders have been considered as a core feature of schizophrenia like positive and negative symptoms. Patiens with schizophrenia have demonstrated worse performane on many cognitive domains compared to healthy subjects. Cognitive disorders have a stronger relation with psychosocial functions of the patients with schizophrenia compared to other symtoms of the disorder. Therefore, cognitive functions have a great importance on the evaluation of the patients with schizophrenia, The cognitive disorders which are common in schizophrenia and the studies conducted in this area will be reviewed in this paper
