The Assessment of Quality of Life and Functional Improvement Levels of Schizoprenia Patients with the Rorschach Test
Schizophrenia is one of the most severe and chronic disorders, causing significant psychological, social and functional problems.
This disorder affects many aspects of life such as the ability to work, social interactions with people, living conditions and daily activities. For this reason, symptomatic recovery alone is not sufficient to define recovery from schizophrenia. Improvement in psycho-social functioning, work life, family relations, relationship with friends and autonomy should also be included in a complete definition of recovery (Liberman & Kopelowicz, 2005). Thus, functional remission in schizophrenia is an important treatment goal.
Quality of Life Scale for Schizophrenia, Functional Remission of General Schizophrenia Scale and Rorschach Test is applied to two patients diagnosed with schizophrenia. Rorschach Tests of patients with low and high levels of functioning and quality of life and Rorschach applications of patients, whose functionalities and quality of life are high or low, will be interpreted with respect to psychoanalytical theory. The answers within the Rorschach protocol will be compared.
