İlk Kez ve Tekrarlayan İntihar Girişiminde Bulunan Olguların Sosyodemografik Özelliklerinin, Psikiyatrik Tanılarının ve Emosyonel Etmenlerinin Araştırıldığı Bir Çalışma

Amaç: İlk kez ve tekrarlayan intihar girişiminde bulunan olguların sosyodemografik özellikler,psikiyatrik
tanılar,sosyal destek ve emosyonel faktörler açısından karşılaştırılması amaçlanmıştır.
Yöntem: Acil servise ilk kez ve tekrarlayan intihar girişimi ile başvuran 15-65 yaş arası 88 olguya DSM-IV
Eksen-I Bozuklukları için yapılandırılmış klinik görüşme formu,Beck Depresyon Envanteri,Sorias Yaşam Olayları
Envanteri,İntihar Olasılığı Ölçeği ve Çok Boyutlu Algılanan Sosyal Destek Ölçeği uygulanmıştır.
Bulgular: Gruplarda benzer sosyodemografik özellikler gözlenmiştir.İntihar girişimi öncesi en baskın olan
duygu iki grupta da umutsuzluk-çaresizliktir.İlk kez girişimde bulunan olgularda girişim sonrası pişmanlık
duyma,tekrarlayan girişim grubundaysa girişim öncesi son bir aydaki intihar düşüncesi anlamlı oranda
daha fazla bulunmuştur.Sosyal destek iki grupta da yetersizdir.Grupların psikiyatrik tanı oranları benzerdir,iki
gruptada Major Depresif Bozukluk ilk sırayı almıştır.Tekrarlayan grupta depresyon,umutsuzluk,intihar
düşünceleri,düşmanlık,kendini olumsuz değerlendirme ve yaşam olaylarının daha fazla,sosyal destek algısının
ise düşük olduğu bulunmuştur.
Sonuç: Yaşam olaylarının sıklığı,umutsuzluk-düşmanlık duygularının varlığı,girişim öncesinde intihar düşüncesinin
varlığı,sosyal desteğin az olması ve girişim sonrası pişmanlık duygusunun olmaması tekrarlayıcı girişimleri
öngörmek açısından önemli özelliklerdir.
A Study Concerning Sociodemographical Caracteristics, Psychiatric Diagnosis and Emotional Factors of First Time Suicide Attempters and Recurrent Suicide Attempters
Objective: The aim of this study is to compare the sociodemographical characteristics, psychiatric diagnosis, social support and emotional
factors of first time suicide attempters and recurrent suicide attempters.
Methods: 88 subjects aged 15 to 65 [year]s who were admitted to the Izmir Ataturk Training and Research Hospital Emergency Room after suicide
attempt were included in the study. All the subjects were interviewed with a form for the sociodemographical caracteristics, Structured
Clinical Interview for DSM-IV (SCID-I), Beck Depression Inventory, Sorias Life Events Inventory, Suicide Assessment Scale and Multidimensional
Social Support Scale.
Results: Sociodemographical characteristics of the two groups were similar. Regret after suicide attempt was more mentioned by first time
attempters. The superior feelings before suicide attempt were hopelessness and helplessness in both groups. Suicidal ideation in the [month]
before suicide attempt was significantly higher in the recurrent atempters group. Social support was insufficient in both groups. The ratio of
psychiatric diagnosis were similar in both groups and Major Depressive Disorder was the most common disorder. Depression, hopelessness,
suicidal ideation, hostility, negative self perception and life events were higher and social support was lower in the recurrent atempters group.
Conclusion: The results of the present study suggest that life events,hopelessness, hostility, presence of suicidal ideation before attempt, poor
social support and absence of feelings of regret were important factors to predict suicide attempts.
