Counter-transference is defined as analyst's feelings or reactions toward a patient's transference. Sigmund Freud considered that the analyst should reflect like a mirror. But the counter transference has its effects and the analyst, as a mirror has to reflect not the actual lime but ihe present. The author in reference to French psychoanalysts such as Andre Green, Francois Duparc and Paul Denis, evokes that the present, inscribed in time, and defined by the particular links that bind it to the past and to the future, should be distinguished from the actual moment, isolated in the passing of time. But temporality and counter-transference are linked together and the analyst's essential aim is to facilitate the introjection ol human temporality in three phases, -past, present and future-, by the patient. Thus the patient can reconstruct a new acceptable history for himself or herself.
