Tiner endüstriyel solvent olarak oldukça yaygın
şekilde kullanılan nörotoksik bir karışımdır ve %60-70
oranında toluen içerir. Bu maddenin santral sinir sisteminde
işlevsel ve yapısal değişikliklere neden olduğu
gösterilmiştir. Burada bilmeden oral yolla tiner alan ve
ardından deliryum tablosu gelişen 55 yaşındaki bir erkek
olgu sunulmuş ve yaklaşık 5-10 ml oral yolla alınan
tinerin ciddi komplikasyon için yeterli olduğu belirtilmiştir.

Thinner is a neurotoxic mixture which is widely
used as an industrial solvent and contains 60-70% of
toluene. This product has been shown to cause functional
and structural changes in the central nervous
system. In this case report, a 55- [year]-old man who accidentally
ingested thinner and developed delirium was
presented and it is determined that 5-10 ml of orally
ingested thinner is enough to cause severe complications.
