Burada, 11 yaşındaki bir çocukta kendi kendine fotik stimülasyonla (sağ elinin parmaklarını birbirinden açarak ve güneşin ya da flüoresan ışığın karşısında tikimsi hareketlerle gezdirmek suretiyle) meydana gelen ve grand mal krizleri şeklinde beliren bir vak'a takdim edilmiştir. Çocukta bu nöbetler klinikte olduğu sürece ancak güneşin karşısında veya güneşli yerlerde kaydedilmiştir. Halbuki bunların loş veya karanlık yerlerde meydana gelmediği anlaşılmış ve bu aynı durum serviste de müşahede edilmiştir.
Literatürde buna benzer ancak pek az vak'aya rastlanmıştır.
Bu yazıda ayrıca fotogenik epilepsinin gerek dinamik (takdim edilen bu vak'anın kapsamına giren) izahı gerek fizyopatojenez'i üzerinde kısaca durulmuştur.

A case of epilepsy brought out by auto - photo - stimulation
The author presents in these paper a case of auto - photo - stimulation epilepsy that he has observed in an 11 [year] old boy. This boy whose I.Q. is 85, opens the finger of his right hand and moves them on the right size of his face, with actions reminding of tics. After doing these quick and rythmical movements preferably facing the sun, he falls down and has crisis of epilepsy of the grand mal type. These seizures have been observed a few times, while he was in the clinical service. His parents informed that the same type of seizures also took place when he was facing fluorescent lights.
Only a few of such cases have been observed in the literature of various [language]s.
In this paper, the psycho - dynamic explanation (included in this case> and physiopathogenetic of photogenic epilepsy, were succinctly touched.
