Amaç: Bu çalışmanın amacı anne baba (CBCL 4/18), öğretmenler (TRF) ve gençlerin kendileri (YSR) tara­fından doldurulan ölçeklerden elde edilen Dikkat Sorunları puanlarıyla görsel sürekli dikkati ölçen Sürekli Performans Testi (SPT) değişkenleri arasındaki ilişkinin incelenmesidir. Örneklem, "dikkatsizlik" şikayeti ile başvuran 142 ergeni kapsamaktadır. Olgularını 20'sine çeşitli tanılar konulurken 22'sinde psikopatoloji sap­tanmamıştır. YSR Dikkat Sorunları puanı ile SPT toplam doğru yanıt, toplam yanlış, atlama ve gereksiz basma hataları arasında orta derecede, ancak anlamlı korelasyonlar bulunmuştur. CBCL ve TRF Dikkat sorunları puanları ile SPT değişkenleri arasında anlamlı bir ilişki bulunmamıştır. Sonuçlar, ergenlerin kendi dikkat so­runlarını oldukça iyi bir şekilde değerlendirebildiğini düşündürmektedir.

Objective: The objective of this study was to investigate the correlations of Attention Problems scores obtained from Child Behavior Checklist /4-18 (CBCL), Teacher Report Form (TRF) and Youth Self Report Form (YSR) with the Continuous Performance Test (CPT) scores, indicating visual sustained attention performance of these cases. The sample included 142 adolescents with "inattentiveness" complaint as one of the leading causes of admission. 120 of the cases were diagnosed with various disorders, 22 had no Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, 4th edition (DSM-IV) diagnosis. Moderate but significant correlations were found between YSR Attention Problems scores and all of the CPT variables assessed: number of correct hits, total errors, omission errors and commission errors. There were no significant correlations between Attention Problems scores obtained from CBCL or TRF and any of the CPT variables. Results might indicate that adolescents can report their attention problems quite accurately.
