Depresyon hastalarının önemli bir bölümü antidepresanlara yalnızca kısmi yanıt verirler. Bu hastalarda güçlendirme ve kombinasyon tedavilerine gereksinim duyulmaktadır. Güçlendirme tedavilerinde lityum, tiroid hormonları, buspiron, metilfenidat, dekstroamfetamin, modafınil gibi psikostimülanlar, risperidon ve olanzapin gibi antipsikotikler, valproik asit, karbamazepin, lamotrijin, gabapentin, ve topiramat gibi antikonvülzanlar, dopaminerjik ilaçlar, opiatlar, östrojen, dehidroepiandrosteron, folat, omega-3 yağ asitleri; kombinasyon tedavisinde seçici serotonin geri alım inhibitörleri(SSGİ) ile birlikte bupropion, mirtazapin, venlafaksin, nefazodon ve desipramin kullanılmıştır. Son yıllar­da kombinasyon tedavisi olarak SSGİ ile birlikte reboksetin kullanımı gündemdedir. Bu makalede, kombinasyon tedavisinde reboksetin kullanımı incelenmektedir.

An important amount of depressive patients show only partial response to antidepressant drugs. For these patients, there is need for augmentation and combination therapies. Lithium, thyroid hormones, buspirone, psychostimulants (such as methylphenidate, dextroamphetamine and modaphynil), antipsychotics (such as risperidone and olanzapine), anticon­vulsants (such as carbamazepine, lamotrigine, gabapentine and topiramate), dopaminergic drugs, opiates, estrogene, dehydroandrosterone, folate, omega-3 fatty acid have been used in augmentation therapies. Bupropion, mirtazapine, venlafaxine, nefazodone and desipramine have been used as combination strategies. In recent [year]s, reboxetine use is investigated in combination therapy. This article reviews reboxetine use in combination therapy.
