This study aims to analyze up-to-date or recurrent studies evaluating the use and effectiveness of selfhelp books within the scope of psychological health. The studies published between 2016 and 2022 and between 1980 and 2020 belonging to a single book were searched in the literature, and brief evaluations were presented. Although books for certain problems generally make a significant difference in the targets, there are open points for acquiring user adherence. The data and findings compiled in this study should contribute to a better understanding of self-help books and light the way for future studies.
