Yaşam Boyu Kariyer Gelişimi: Üst Düzey Kadın Yöneticilerin Kariyer Planlarına Yönelik Nitel Bir Araştırma

In this study, it was aimed to examine the future career goals of senior women managers and the factors that affect the determination of these goals. 21 women managers, who have been or are still working in senior management positions in various sectors, which were reached through theoretical sampling, participated in this grounded theory study. The continuous comparative analysis method was used in the analysis of the data obtained. According to the results of the study, it was determined that participants have three different career goals. These; different career options, retirement plans, and contributing to the continuity of the company. Participants stated that while determining their career goals, they considered seven different factors: the perception of the comfort zone, the changeable structure of the business world, family, self-knowledge, feeling of satisfaction, age, and the structure of career steps. These results were discussed within the framework of the relevant literature and some suggestions were made.
