Araştırma, Konya Lisesinde kayıtlı 11. sınıf öğrencileri (n=127) üzerinde yapılmıştır. Araştırma verilerinin toplanmasında, araştırmacılar tarafından oluşturulan bir anket formu kullanılmıştır. Araştırmadan elde edilen veriler SPSS 15.0 programında değerlendirilmiştir. Bulgular: Araştırma kapsamındaki öğrencilerin, %55.1’inin bayan, yaş ortalamalarının 17.07±0.26 olduğu belirlenmiştir. Öğrencilerin %26.8’inin alkol içtiği, alkol deneme yaş ortalamalarının 13.76±2.69 olduğu, %52.9’unun arkadaşlarından düzenli alkol içen ve %11.8’inin ailede düzenli alkol içen biri olduğu saptanmıştır. Medyada alkol içerikli görüntülerle karşılaşan adölesanların ekran önünde geçirdikleri sürelerinin yüksek olduğu bulunmuştur. This research was conducted as a descriptive study in order to determine self-learning readiness and achievement orientations levels of students in the nursing department. Method: The study was conducted with 311 nursing students in Ondokuz Mayis University, Faculty of Health Sciences, Nursing Departmant. Sociodemographic data form, self - learning readiness scale and achievement orientation scale were used in the data collection. Man whitney-u, kruskal wallis, t test, one-way ANOVA test were used for data analysis. Results: 81% of the participants were female, 78.5% were in the 18-21 age group and 35% were in the first class. The mean score of students’ self-readiness scale was determined as 144.66±29.35. Self-control subscale that the highest score average of the scale was 55.81±11.66. In the achievement orientation scale, performance approach sub-dimension was the highest with 3.07±0.84 score. Conculusion: As a result of the research, it was determined that nursing students’ selflearning readiness levels were not sufficient and they showed more performance approach
