Geçmişten günümüze gelen süreçte sanat, edebi dönemler ve toplum değişikliğe uğramış ve uğramaya devam etmektedir. Verilen eserler incelendiğinde bu eserlerin aynı yazarın veya sanatçının kaleminden çıkması ihtimalinde dahi çok farklı konular edinildiği saptanabilir. Bu değişikliğin sebepleri toplum, kültür, sanat ve bireyin birbirleri üzerinde olan etkileridir. Bunların tamamı birbirlerini etkileyebilmekte ve bu etkinin tam olarak net bir yönü saptanamamaktadır. Bu çalışma sanat ve toplum arasındaki ilişkide bireyin geçmiş yaşantılarının, kültürün ve içinde bulunduğu toplumun nasıl bir rol oynadığı ve verdikleri eserlere nasıl tezahür ettiği yönünde Yakup Kadri Karaosmanoğlu’nun ‘Nur Baba’ isimli eseri üzerinden incelemeye tabi tutulmuştur. Nur Baba kitabının bütüncül psikoterapi bağlamında incelemesi yapılmış, toplumun bireye ve bireyin topluma etkileri kaos ve alan teorisi kapsamında tartışılmıştır. Çalışmanın ruh sağlığı uzmanlarına ve psikoterapi, sanat, sanat terapisi konuları üzerine yapılacak çalışmalarda edebi metinleri değerlendirirken; içinde bulunduğu kültür, yazarın yaşamı gibi konularda genelden özele bir değerlendirme yönünde katkı sağlayarak tüm bu incelemeye tabi tutulacak maddelerin birbirleri üzerindeki etkilerinin nasıl olduğu yönünde katkı sağlayacak ve literatürde de psikoloji ve psikoterapi alanları ile diğer bilim dalları arasında kurulacak bağlantılara bir bakış açısı sunarak gelecekte yapılacak olan çalışmalara yol göstereceği düşünülmektedir

Upon examining various works, it is evident that even if produced by the same author or artist, these works often explore vastly different themes. The reasons for these changes lie in the interplay of society, culture, art, and the individual, each influencing the others in complex ways without a clearly discernible direction. This study focuses on the relationship between art and society, exploring how an individual’s past experiences, culture, and the society they are part of play a role in shaping and manifesting in the works they create. The examination is carried out through the lens of Yakup Kadri Karaosmanoglu’s work, ‘Nur Baba.’ The comprehensive analysis of ‘Nur Baba’ delves into the realm of holistic psychotherapy, discussing the impact of society on the individual and vice versa within the framework of chaos and field theory. The study aims to contribute to mental health professionals, particularly those in the fields of psychotherapy, art, and art therapy. It offers insights into evaluating literary texts by providing a contribution that ranges from a general to specific assessment, taking into account factors such as the cultural context and the author’s life. By shedding light on how these elements interact, the study aims to provide a perspective that contributes to the connection between the fields of psychology, psychotherapy, and other scientific disciplines in the literature.In conclusion, it is anticipated that this study will serve as a valuable resource for researchers and experts interested in understanding the profound interactions between art, culture, society, and the individual. The examination of ‘Nur Baba’ and the insights derived from it are expected to guide future studies in the fields of psychology, psychotherapy, and interdisciplinary connections with other scientific disciplines.
