Amaç: Bu çalışmada bir pediatrik eğitim ve araştırma hastanesinde, 1 yıllık süreçte yatarak tedavi gören çocuk ve ergenler için istenen çocuk ve ergen psikiyatrisi konsültasyonlarının özelliklerinin değerlendirilmesi amaçlanmıştır. Gereç ve Yöntem: 01 Ocak 2020-01 Ocak 2021 tarihleri arasında yatarak tedavi gören çocukların kayıtları geriye yönelik dosya taraması yoluyla değerlendirildi. Psikiyatrik tanı, tedavi ve demografik verilerin sonuçları tespit edildi. Bulgular: Bir yıllık sürede yatarak tedavi gören çocukların %2,2'sinden çocuk psikiyatrisi konsültasyonu istendiği görüldü. Olguların %55,7’si kız, %44,3’ü erkekti. Bedensel hastalık tanısı akut hastalık grubu içinde yer alan tanıların oranı %46,8, kronik hastalık grubu içinde yer alan tanıların oranı ise %53,2 saptandı. En sık konsültasyon istenme sebebi %22,9 oranında olguların ruhsal yönden değerlendirilmesi talebiydi ve bunu %11,9 eşit oranı ile ajitasyon ve ayrıcı tanı/tanı karmaşası izlemekteydi. En sık konsültasyon isteyen bölüm %26,3 ile acil servisti. Acil servisten en sık konsültasyon istenme sebebi ise %38,2 ile intihar girişimi idi. Olguların %84,8’inde psikiyatrik bir tanı saptanmış ve %43,8’ine psikotrop bir medikasyon başlanmıştı. En sık önerilen ilaç grubu %45,3 seçici serotonin geri alım inhibitörü grubu antidepresanlardı. Tüm olguların %32’si değerlendirme öncesinde de herhangi bir çocuk ergen psikiyatrisi kliniğince takipliydi ve %75,8’ine taburculuk sonrası poliklinik takibi önerildiği görüldü. Sonuç: Bedensel hastalığı nedeniyle hastanede yatarak tedavi görmekte olan çocuğa ve ailesine yönelik yardımı planlayan konsültasyon liyezon psikiyatrisi ekibinde yer alan üyelerin iş birliği içinde çalışmasının olası tekrarlayan yatışlarda görülebilecek ruhsal yakınmaların önlenmesinde önemli olduğu düşünülmektedir.

Objectives: In this study, it was aimed to evaluate the characteristics of psychiatric consultations requested for one year from inpatients in a training and research hospital. Materials and Methods: The records of hospitalized children between January 01, 2020, and January 01, 2021, were evaluated through retrospective file scanning. Results of psychiatric diagnosis, treatment, and demographic data were determined. Results: Child psychiatry consultation was requested from 2.2% of the children who received inpatient treatment in a year. 55.7% of the cases were female, and 44.3% were male. The most common reason for requesting consultation was the request for psychological evaluation of the cases at a rate of 22.9%, followed by agitation and differential diagnosis/diagnosis confusion with an equal rate of 11.9%. The department that requested consultation most frequently was the emergency department, with 26.3%. The most common reason for requesting a consultation from the emergency department was suicide attempts, with a rate of 38.2%. In 84.8% of the cases, a psychiatric diagnosis was determined, and psychotropic medication was initiated in 43.8%. The most frequently recommended drug group was antidepressants with 45.3%. 32% of all cases were followed up by a child and adolescent psychiatry clinic before the evaluation, and it was observed that outpatient follow-up was recommended for 75.8% of them after discharge. Conclusion: It is thought that the cooperation of the members of the CLP team, who plan the assistance for the child who is hospitalized and family, is vital in preventing mental complaints that may occur in possible recurrent hospitalizations
