Bu çalışma infertile hastalarda tanı süreci ve psikolojik müdahaleye dair dikkate alınması gereken bazı noktaları ileri sürmektedir. Ruhsal yaşamda infertilitenin etkileri ruhsal (narsisistik ve düşlemsel) boyut ile hem biyomedikal hem de evlat olma/aynı soydan olmanın sembolleştirilmesi olan kurumsal boyutun kesişim noktası olarak kabul eden evlat olma bağlarına bir psikanalitik yaklaşım getirilerek yorumlanmıştır. Bu bakış açısında, infertile hastaların ruhsal değerlendirmesinin çok metotlu ve bütünleştirilmiş bir işleyişi tarif edilmiştir.

This paper proposes some considerations concerning the diagnostic process and the psychological intervention with infertile patients. The effects of infertility on psychological life are interpreted referring to a psychoanalytic approach to the filiation bonds which considers the intersection of the psychic (narcissistic and imaginary) dimension, with both the biomedical dimesion and the institutional dimension of symbolization of filiation. In this perspective, a multi-methodological and integrated procedure of psychological assessment of infertile patients is described.
