Resim, bireyin dünyayı açıklayış biçini ve zihinsel gelişimin göstergesi sayılabilir. Kendiliğinden yapılan resimler, iç dünyaları yansıtıyor olmaları nedeniyle iyi analiz edildiklerinde çocukları ve onların gelişmelerini bize ayrıntıyla yansıtırlar. Projektif testler dinamik priskiyatri ve psikolojinin en önemli veri kaynaklarındandır. Bu çalışmada çizim testleri anksiyete bozukluğu tanısı alan ve bilinen herhangi bir psikiyatrik tanısı olmayan iki gruba uygulanmıştır. Çalışma katılımcıları 12-16 yaş arası 40 çocuktur.

Aim of this study is to investigate the maternal functions in drawing tests applied to a boy diagnosed with conduct disorder and to address the role of maternal functions in etiology of conduct disorder. The basic hypothesis of the study is that inadequacies in maternal functions will be detected in drawing tests. A. has severe violent acts against people around him. In our study, draw a person, draw a famiy and draw a tree tests were applied to him in order to understand these violent behaviors. Results of the drawing tests indicated that in draw a person test, ego development of A. is not at the developmentally expected level; his dependency on his mother and Oepidal love continued intensely. Although his psychic functioning reached Oepidal period, individuation and separation from mother is quite difficult for A. Mother's containment function was found to be lacking. In draw a family test, it was noticed that impulsivity was also remarkable in parents and particularly paternal functions were lacking. Moreover, in draw a tree test, it was found that even though A. has investment in himself and social world, his difficulties with his parents interfere with social world very much. Findings of our study are discussed together together with ideas of psychoanalysts who suggest that problems in early object relations underlie conduct disorder.
