Somatizasyon, günümüzde hâlâ yeterince anlaşılamayan bir fenomendir. Bununla birlikte bugüne kadar elde edilen bulgular somatizasyonun multifaktöriyel bir etyolojiye sahip olduğunu düşündürmektedir. Bu yazıda, somatizasyonun tanımı, görülme sıklığı ve klinik görünümü ele alındıktan sonra somatizasyonun etyolojisinde rol aldığı düşünülen etkenler gözden geçirilmiştir.
