Panik atağı, genel tıbbi bir durumun fizyolojik etkileriyle oluşmuşsa, panik bozukluğu değil, genel tıbbi duruma bağlı anksiyete bozukluğu tanısı alır. Anemi toplumumuzda sık görülmesi ve birçok semptomunun panik atağı semptomuyla kesişmesi açısından ayırıcı tanıda önemlidir. Aneminin etyolojisinde ender olarak karaciğer hemanjiomu vardır. Bu makalede karaciğerdeki hemanjioma sekonder gelişen aneminin panik ataklarına neden olması ve bu tablonun antidepresif tedaviye rağmen düzelmemesi ve aneminin düzeltilmesiyle dramatik iyileşmesi sağlanan bir genel tıbbi duruma bağlı anksiyete bozukluğu olgusu sunulmuştur.

If a panic attack is due to the physiologic effect of a general medical condition, it is not called a panic disorder but it is named as an anxiety disorder induced by general medical condition. Anemia is important in differential diagnosis since it is frequent in our society and many symptoms of it intersect with the symptoms of panic attack. There is rarely liver hemangioma in the etiology of anemia. In this article a case of anemia, developed secondary to liver hemangioma, which caused panic attacks has presented. This anxiety disorder did not respond to anti-depressive medication. But after treatment of anemia, improvement was observed.
