Mesleki rehabilitasyon; yaralanma, bozukluk veya bir hastalık sonrası, kişinin işe dönmesi için karşılaştığı bariyerlerin üstesinden gelinmesi sürecidir. Bu süreç kişi, işveren ve aile ve bakım verenleri desteklemek için uygulanan ve oldukça geniş kapsamlı müdahaleleri kapsar. Mesleki rehabilitasyon, bireyin tıbbi rehabilitasyonu ile akut durumunda iyileşme sağlamak değil bireyin mevcut durumuna uygun mesleği bulmak ve uygulanabilirliği için müdahale etmek ve destek sağlamaktır. Bu makalede, mesleki rehabilitasyon süreci incelenmiştir. Mesleki rehabilitasyon hizmetleri ergoterapi alanı ile ilişkilendirilerek ele alınmış ve tarihçe, yönlendirme,görüşme,çalışma kapasitesinin değerlendirilmesi, meslek öncesi eğitim, iş yeri ziyareti, ekip üyelerinin başlıca görevleri ile ilgili bilgi verilmiştir. Dünyadan uygulama örnekleri olarak; Mesleki Günlük Hizmetler, korumalı atölyeler ve endüstriyel terapi birimleri, gönüllü programlar, destekli eğitim ve öğretim, kulüp evleri, destekli istihdam, yerel döviz ticareti sistemleri, kendi işini kurmanın desteklenmesi, sosyal amaçlı kurulan şirketler/kooperatifler, destekli istihdam, istihdam servisleri konuları açıklanmıştır. Türkiye'de engelli istihdam yöntemleri incelenmiştir. Kota Seçimi, Korumalı İşleri Yöntemi, Kişisel Çalışma Yöntemi, Evde Çalışma Yöntemi, Kooperatif Yöntemi gibi uygulamalar hakkında bilgi verilmiştir.

Vocational rehabilitation (VR) is the process of overcoming the barriers that a person has to return to work after an injury, disorder or illness. This process covers a wide range of interventions implemented to support people,employers and families and caregivers. VR isn't an improvement of the individual's medical rehabilitation and acute situation, but that the individual must have the necessary intervention and support to apply for the appropriate job opportunity for the present situation. Article focus on VR process. VR services have been handled in connection with the field and information has been given about the main tasks of team members, such as history, orientation, interview, interpreting work-capacity, pre-vocational training,workplace visits. Examples of the world implementation such as; It has been explored and supported by a number of professional daily services, including voluntary-programs,supported education and training, clubhouses, supported foreign currency trading systems,social purpose organizations/cooperatives, and supported employment and employment services. Disabled Employment Methods in Turkey were examined. Quota-selection, protected workplace, personal working method, the working method at home were informed.
