Depresyon oldukça yaygın, bireyi günlük yaşamından koparan ve zaman zaman tekrarlayıcı bir gidiş göstererek yaşam boyu devam edebilen bir hastalık olmasına karşın tedavi edilebilir bir bozukluktur. Bu yazıda pratisyen hekimler tarafından yeterince tanınmadığı için etkin bir biçimde tedavi edilemeyen depresyonun biyolojik tedavileri üzerinde durulacaktır
