Bu yazıda ağırlıklı olarak etkileşim gruplarında liderin rolü incelenmiştir. Terapötik gruplarda liderin rolü; terapötik sürecin oluşturulması ve sürdürümü, grup hedeflerinin belirlenmesi, grup normlarının yerleştirilmesi, grup kültürünün oluşturulması, zamanı geldiğinde de grubun sonlandırılmasıdır.Sonlandırma süreci, başka bir bölümde incelendiği için, bu yazıda grubun sonlandırılması süreci üzerinde durulmamış; grup sürecinde iletişim ve etkileşim üzerinde yoğunlaşılmıştır.

In this article we reviewed the group leader's role in interpersonal group psychoherapy. The role of the leader in a therapeutic group carries with it responsibilites that include setting goals for the group, selecting members, initiating and maintaining the therapeutic process, norm setting, culture building, protecting members from harm and terminating the therapeutic process at the appropriate point.Since terminating group process is rewieved in another session of this work, issues of communication and interaction in group process are emphasized in this article.
