Bu yazıda sosyal fobinin altında yatan temel duyguların -utanç duygusu ve sosyal ortamlarda utanma korkusu- psikodinamik yönü tartışılmıştır. Sosyal fobinin kökeninde ve ortaya çıkmasında rol oynayan etmenler bastırılmış teşhircilik eğilimi, denetimini yitirme endişesi, ayrılık kaygısı ve kendilik patolojisidir. Psikodinamik açıdan utanç duygusu, sosyal ortamlarda utanma korkusu ve çekingenlik gibi klinik görünümlerin tek bir patolojiden daha çok bir yelpaze oluşturduğu ve hastanın psikopatolojisinin bu çerçevede değerlendirilmesi gerektiği savunulmuştur.

In this article, psychodynamic aspects of basic affects underlying social phobia, namely, shame and fear of shame experiences have been discussed. Psychodynamic factors that contribute to the etiology and pathogenesis of social phobia are repressed exhibitionism and scopophilia, loss of control, separation anxiety and self pathology. From a psychodynamic point of view, it would be betler if the clinical manifestations of shame, fear of shame experiences and shyness are understood as a spectrum rather than a single pathology.
