Kadınlarda cinsel işlev bozuklukları, kişiler arası ilişkileri ve yaşam kalitesini etkileyerek sıkıntıyla sonuçlanan cinsel istek, uyarılma veya orgazm ve/veya ağrı ile ortaya çıkan bir bozukluk olarak tanımlanmaktadır. Etyoloji biyolojik ve psikososyal unsurların her ikisinden oluşan çok faktörlü problemlerin birleşimidir.

Cinsel işlev bozuklukları erkek ve kadınlarda çok sıktır. Bu çalışmada, 1997-2002 yıllarında Adli Tıp Kurumunun ilgili İhtisas Kurullarında cinsel işlev bozukluğu yönünden muayene edilen kadın olguların değerlendirilmesi amaçlandı. 25 olgunun yaşları, 16 yaş ile 36 yaş arasındaydı, ortalama evlilik süresi 6 aydan 10 yıla kadar değişiyordu. Bu cinsel sağlık probleminin çözmek için cinsel eğitim ve genel eğitimin önemi ve doktorlar başta olmak üzere sağlık personelinin bilgilendirilmesinin gerekliliği vurgulanmalıdır.

Female sexual dysfunction is defined as a disorder of sexual desire, arousal, or orgasm, and/or sexual pain, which results in personal distress and has an impact on quality of life and interpersonal relationships. It is a compilation of problems that has both biologic and psychosocial components and is multifactorial in etiology.

Sexual function disorders are very frequent among men and women. In this article, we aimed to assess the features of female sexual function disorder cases those were examined in the concerning boards of the Institute of Forensic Medicine in [year]s 1997-2002. The mean ages of these 25 cases were between 16 to 36 [year]s; their marital status duration was between 6 [month]s to 10 [year]s.

In order to solve this important sexual health problem, both the importance of general and sexual education and the necessity of presence of informed health professionals including medical doctors are stressed.
