Ergenlerde Psikolojik Sağlamlık: Bireysel Koruyucu Faktörlerin Rolü

Bu çalışmanın, amacı ergenlerde öz-yeterlik, benlik saygısı ve olumlu duyguların
psikolojik sağlamlığı yordamadaki rolünü incelemektir. Veri toplama araçları olarak Çocuk ve
Genç Psikolojik Sağlamlık Ölçeği, Rosenberg Benlik Saygısı Ölçeği, Öz-yeterlik Ölçeği ve
Pozitif-Negatif Duygu Ölçeği, Isparta ilinde farklı ortaokul ve ortaöğretim kurumlarında 8, 9,
10, 11 ve 12. sınıfta öğrenim gören 476 öğrenciye uygulanmıştır. Yaşları 12 ile 18 arasında
değişen katılımcıların yaş ortalaması, 15.40’tır (Ss=1.48). Katılımcıların %45.6 (217) kız ve
%54.4 (259) erkek öğrencilerden oluşmaktadır. Öğrencilerin %32.8 (132) ortaokul ve % 67.2
(289) lise öğrencisidir. Analiz sonuçları incelendiğinde, psikolojik sağlamlık ile öz-yeterlik,
benlik saygısı ve olumlu duygular arasında anlamlı düzeyde bir ilişkinin olduğu görülmüştür.
Ayrıca hiyerarşik regresyon analiz sonuçları, ergenlerde öz-yeterlik, benlik saygısı ve olumlu
duyguların psikolojik sağlamlığı pozitif yönde ve anlamlı düzeyde yordadığını göstermiştir.
Diğer bir deyişle, öz-yeterlik, benlik saygısı ve olumlu duyguların psikolojik sağlamlığa ilişkin
önemli yordayıcılar olduğu bulunmuştur. Öz-yeterlik, benlik saygısı ve olumlu duygular,
psikolojik sağlamlığa ilişkin toplam varyansın %36’sını açıklamıştır. Araştırmadan elde edilen
bulgular alanyazınla ilişkisi çerçevesinde tartışılmış ve bazı önerilerde bulunulmuştur.
Resilience in Adolescents: The Role of Individual Protective Factors
The purpose of this study is to examine the role of self-esteem, self-efficacy and
positive affect in predicting resilience among secondary and high school adolescents. Measures
including Child and Youth Resilience Measure, Rosenberg Self-esteem Scale, Self-efficacy
Scale and Positive Negative Affect Scale were applied 476 students studying in different
secondary and high school in Isparta. The age range of participants varied from 12 to 18, and
mean of age is 15.40 (SD = 1.48). Participants consisted of 45.6% (217) female and 54.4%
(259) male students. Students enrolled of 32.8% (132) secondary and 67.2% (289) high school.
Results of presents study indicated that resilience positively correlated with self-efficacy, self-
esteem and positive affect. Hierarchical regression analysis results also showed that self-
esteem, self-efficacy and positive affect significantly predicted resilience. In other words, it was
found that esteem, self-efficacy and positive are significant predictors of resilience in
adolescents. The self-esteem, self-efficacy and positive affect, together, accounted for %36 total
of the variance in resilience. Implications of these findings were discussed for educators,
psychological counselors, and some suggestions were presented in light of findings.
