Bu araştırmada, üniversite ogrencilernin duygu ifade eden sözcük ve deyimlere yükledikleri duygu yoğunluklarnin öğrencilerin nitelikleri açısından farklılık gosterip göstermediği ıncelenmiştir. Araştırmaya, 942 üniversite öğrencisi katılmış ve Duygu Ifade Eden Sözcük ve Deyimler Listesi'ni tamamlamıştır, Verilerın analizinde; Mann- Whitney U Testi, Kruskal- Warllis Varyans Analizi ve ikili karşılaştırmalar için de Alpar (1998) tarafından önerilen eşitsizlik kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın sonucunda sekiz duygu kategorisindeki 140 sözcük ve deyimin 73'ünün (%52. 14) duygu yoğunluğu yüklemelerinin cınsıyete göre farklılık gösterdiği, bununla birlikte sözcük ve deyimlerin büyük çoğunluğunun sınıf düzeyine (%95.7 1), yaşamının çoğunu geçirdiği yerleşim birimine (%91.43), kendini gırişken veya çekingen algılama durumuna (%84.29), iletişim güçlükleri yaşama derecesine (%94.29) ve duygularını rahatlıkla veya güçlükle ifade etme durumuna (%80.71) göre farklılık göstermediği bulunmuştur.

In this study it was investigated whether the university students employing emotion intensity over emotional words and phrases differ on the basis of their various qualities. The research included 942 university students. In order to determine emotional intensity for each word and phrase which express emotions. The List of Emotional Words and Phrases was used. In data analysis Mann-Whitney U Test, Kruskal Variance Analyis and The inequality proposed by Alpar (1998) for the paired comparison was used. The results of the study indicated that 73 (%52.1) of all words and phrases (140) in eight emotional university students; however, for the majority of all words and phrases, it was not diferentiated by students' grades (%95,71) by the places where they had led most of their lives (%91,43) by the perception of themselves as extrovert or introvert (%84,29), by the degree of experience of communication difficulties (%94,29), by the expression of their emotions with difficulty of ease (%80,71)
