Bu araştırmanın temel problemini, kurum ortamında yetişen çocuklar ile aile ortamında yetişen çocukların Bilişsel Performans açısından karşılaştırılması teşkil etmektedir. Bunun için, 8-9-10-11 yaşındaki çocuk esirgeme kurumlarında koruma altına alınmış çocuklar arasından ve aile ortamından seçilen deneklere Bilişsel Per formans Testi uygulanmıştır.
