Araştırmalar, depresyonun norobiyolojisini açıklamak için serotonerjik ve noradrenerjik sistemi sorgulamaya çalışmaktadır. Bu makalede noradrenalinin sentezi ve yıkımı, reseptörleri, noradrenerjik yolaklar, noradrenalin salınımı ve sinyal sistemi, depresyonda noradrenalin fonksiyon bozukluğu ve antidepresan ilaçlar noradrenerjik sistem üzerindeki etkileri gözden geçirmiştir.
Depression and the noradrenergic system
Investigators have been working on the noradrenergic system to clarify the neurobiology of depression. In this article synthesis, degredation and the receptors of noradrenaline, noradrenergic pathways, noradrenaline release and signal transduction, the noradrenergic dysfunction in depression and the effects of antidepressive drugs on the noradrenergic system are reviewed.
