Obsesif kompulsif bozukluk (OKB) obsesyon ve kompulsiyonlar ile seyreden ciddi ve kronik psikiyatrik bir bozukluktur. OKB toplum içinde %1-3 sıklık ile görülmektedir. Biyolojik psikiyatrideki gelişmelere rağmen OKB’nin nedenleri henüz anlaşılamamıştır. Buna ek olarak OKB’nin heterojen bir hastalık olması, OKB spektrum bozukluklarının ve eşik altı durumların tanıda yarattığı kargaşa hastalığın biyolojik kökeninin gösterilmesini zorlaştırmaktadır. OKB’de yapılan aile, ikiz ve genetik çalışmalar hastalığın kalıtsal olabileceğini önermektedir. Aday gen belirleme, aile ve ikiz çalışmalarının sonuçları sadece hastalığın patogenezinin belirlenmesine değil ayrıca tedavi ve tanı stratejilerine de gelişmesine yardımcı olacaktır. Bu yazıda OKB'nin genetik patogenezi gözden geçirilmiştir.

Obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD) is a severe and chronic psychiatric disorder characterized by obsessions and repetitive, ritualistic behaviors. The estimated prevalence of OCD in the community is 1-3%. Although of biological psychiatry advances the causes of obsessive compulsive disorder are as yet unknown. In addition to heterogeneity of OCD, confusion of subclinical diagnosis and spectrum of OCD are difficult to obtain biological evidence. The genetics, twin and familial studies suggest that OCD may be inherited. Discovering the familial, twin and candidate gene studies not only helps determine the pathogenesis of the disease but also offers a possible treatment and diagnosis strategies. This article reviews the genetic pathogenesis of OCD.
