Amaç: Bu çalışmada Harrison’un dörtlü örgüt kültürü tiplemesini model alan, psikometrik özellikleri görgül olarak ortaya konmuş bir örgütsel kültür tipi ölçeğini literatüre kazandırmak amaçlanmaktadır. Bu çalışma çeşitli örgütlerde çalışan toplam 245 kişi ile gerçekleştirilmiştir. Yöntem: Örgütsel Kültür Tipi Ölçeği (ÖKTÖ) araştırmacı tarafından hiyerarşi, destek, başarı ve güç olmak üzere dört farklı kültürü ölçmesi beklenen ifadelerden oluşturulmuştur. Bu beklentiyle tutarlı olarak, bu çalışmada Varimax rotasyonu ile yapılan faktör analizi sonunda ÖKTÖ’nin dört alt faktörü olduğu görülmüştür. Ayrıca, ölçeğin içsel tutarlılığına bakılmıştır. 30 kişilik bir örnekleme üç hafta ara ile ÖKTÖ’nin iki kez uygulanması sonucu, ölçeğin test tekrar test güvenirlik puanlarının tatmin edici olduğu bulunmuştur. Bundan başka ÖKTÖ’nin ölçüt bağıntılı geçerliliğine bakmak için Lider Davranışları Ölçeği bir ölçüt olarak alınmış; her iki ölçeğe ait alt ölçekler ve toplam ölçek puanları arasındaki ilişkilerin anlamlı düzeyde olduğu bulunmuştur. Tartışma: Son olarak, üç farklı örgüt çalışanlarının ÖKTÖ puanları arasındaki farklılıklar incelenmiş, sonuçta ÖKTÖ puanlarının söz konusu üç örgütte anlamlı olarak farklı olduğu görülmüştür.

Objective: This study aims to develop an original organizational culture typology questionnaire which takes Harrison’s cultural typology as a model and provides satisfactory psychometrical characteristics. 245 subjects from the various working groups in companies participated in this study. The Organizational Culture Typology Scale (OCTS), initially developed by the author, was aimed to measure the four components: hierarchical, support, achievement and power. Consistent with this expectation the explanatory factor analysis with Varimax rotation showed that the OCTS questionnaire had four sub factors. In this study internal consistency of sub factors were also examined. The test re-test results of 30 subjects within three weeks period indicated that the scale had a satisfactory test re-test reliability scores as expected. Leader Behavior Scale was used with OCTS, in order to examine criterion related validity. The results demonstrated significant relationship between OCTS and leader behavior styles. Lastly, to examine discriminant validity the three different organizations’ OCTS scores were compared and these organizations were found to be significantly different from each other. In conclusion, the results provide a support for the use of OCTS in organizations.
