Amaç: Araştırmada lise öğrencilerinde öfke, saldırganlık ve ruhsal belirtiler arasındaki ilişkiyi incelemek amaçlanmıştır. Yöntem: Araştırma bir lisede 9. sınıfta öğrenim gören 385 öğrenci ile gerçekleştirilmiştir. Veriler Kişisel Bilgi Formu, Sürekli Öfke ve Öfke Tarz Ölçeği, Saldırganlık Ölçeği ve Kısa Semptom Envanteri aracılığı ile toplanmıştır. Çözümlemede tanımlayıcı istatistikler, t testi, tek yönlü varyans ve korelasyon analizi kullanılmıştır. Bulgular: Araştırmada öğrencilerin sürekli öfke, öfke içte, öfke dışta ile saldırganlık düzeyleri ve ruhsal belirtileri arasında pozitif anlamlı, öfke kontrolü ile saldırganlık ve ruhsal belirtileri arasında ise negatif anlamlı bir ilişki olduğu belirlenmiştir. Ayrıca cinsiyet, yaş ve ekonomik düzeye göre ölçek puanları arasında istatistiksel olarak anlamlı farklılığın olduğu saptanmıştır. Tartışma ve Sonuç: Literatürle uyumlu olarak öğrencilerin öfke düzeyleri arttıkça saldırganlık düzeylerinin ve ruhsal belirtilerinin arttığı, öfke kontrolü arttıkça saldırganlık düzeylerinin ve ruhsal belirtilerin azaldığı saptanmıştır.

Objective: The research aims to investigate the relationship between the anger, aggression and mental symptoms of high school students. Method: The responds were 385 9th grade students in a high school. The data was collected through Personal Information Form, The State-Trait Anger and Anger Expression Scale, Aggression Scale, Brief Symptom Inventory. Descriptive statistics, t test, One-Way Anova and Correlation test were applied. Results: In the study, there was positive correlation between the scores of the students related to trait anger, anger-in, anger-out, aggression and mental symptoms. On the other hand, a negative relationship was discovered between the scores anger control, aggression and mental symptoms. Moreover scale sores were compared, gender, age and economic income were identified as important. Discussion and Conclusion: In line with literature, it is found that increasing levels of anger, aggression levels and psychological symptoms were increased, and increased levels of anger management, aggression and mental symptoms were decreased of students.
