This paper aims to discuss adolescent's crucial need to be able to understand him/ herself, during a period where his/her body, feelings, mind-set and social relationships are in a constant change. 'Ihus, while demanding understanding from the envirronment, the adolescent is actually struggling to give meaning to all the changes that are taking place, which are a source of great confusion and anxiety.
