Bu çalışmanın amacı ArÜ. Tıp Fakültesi'nde ça­lışan doktor ve hemşireler arasında tükenmişlik sendromunun yaygınlığını saptamak ve tükenmiş­lik düzeyini etkileyen faktörleri belirlemektir. Veriler iç Hastalıkları Servisi'nde çalışan 109 Hemşire ve 56 doktordan, Maslach Tükenmişlik ölçeği, İş Do­yumu Ölçeği ve Çok Yönlü Sosyal Destek Ölçeği uygulanarak toplanmıştır. Araştırma sonuçlarına göre, hemşireler ve doktorlar arasında duygusal tü­kenme altölçeğinde anlamlı fark bulunmuş, buna karşılık kişisel başarı ve duyarsızlaşma alt ölçekle­rinde anlamlı bir fark saptanmamıştır. Gruplar ara­sında İş Doyumu Ölçeği, Sosyal Destek Ölçeği skorları açısından da anlamlı fark bulunmamakta­dır. Ayrıca cinsiyet, yaş ve çalışma süresinin de Öl­çeklerden elde edilen puanlar üzerinde anlamlı bir etkisi saptanmamıştır. Sonuçlar çalışma koşulları, bedensel sorunlar vb. açılardan tartışılmıştır.

Burnout is a frequent disorder that involves physicians and nurses. The aim of this research is to determine the prevaiance of burnout in physicians and nurses who work in Medical Faculty of An­kara University and to identify the factors which af­fect the burnout level. Data were collected from 109 nurses and 56 physicians working at the inter­nal medicine service using Maslach Burnout Inven­tory, Job Satisfaction Inventory and Multidimentional Social Support Scales. According to the result of the research, there was significant statistical dif­ference in the emotional burnout subscale between doctors and nurses, but there was not any signifi­cant difference in the personal accomplishment and insensitiveness subscales. Also there was no significant difference between the two groups con­cerning the total score of Job Satisfaction Inventory and Multidimentional Social Support Scales. More­over gender, age and the number of [year]s spent in job did not effect on the scores.
