Psychoanalysis Action in the Treatment Process
Identifying the active role of the psychoanalyst in the treatment process, is at the same time defining the particularity of the psychoanalytical action and how it is different from other therapeutic processes. It is important to pay attention to the special opening created by what the analyst presents to the transference at the beginning. Then one must take into consideration how it plays between the analyst’s obligation to shoulder the transference through mutual perceptiveness on the one hand, and the necessity to interpret it to make it conceivable for and subjectified by the patient, on the other.
