Rüyaların neden var olduğu, nasıl ortaya çıktığı, beyinle ve ruhsal durumla ilişkisi ve işlevi gibi konular bilim adamlarının ilgi alanına girmektedir. Psikiyatri ve psikoloji bilimi rüyaların ruhsal işlevleri ve rüyalarla psikopatoloji ve psikoterapi arasındaki ilişki gibi konularda daha fazla araştırma bulgularına sahiptir. Dreams are the most interesting phenomena that occur during sleep. Thus, dreams have attracted the attention of people since ancient times. Why dreams exist, how they come about, and its mental and brain-related function have been among areas of research. Studies in the psychiatry and psychology fields include research of the mental function of dreams and the relationship between psychopathology and psychotherapy. In this article, the views of leading scientists and institutions on the relationship between the mind and psychopathology have been summarized.
