Bu araştırmanın amacı Psikolojik Danışma ve Rehberlik bölümünde öğrenim gören öğrencilerin eleştirel düşünme eğilimi becerilerini geliştirmektir. Araştırma Uludağ Üniversitesi Psikolojik Danışma ve Rehberlik Anabilim dalı’nda öğrenim gören 19-22 yaş arası toplam 40 öğrenci ile yapılmıştır. Eleştirel düşünme eğitiminin etkililiğini sınamak amacı ile önce öğrencilere Kökdemir (2003) tarafından geliştirilen Eleştirel Düşünme Eğilimi Ölçeği uygulanmış ve puanlar eşitlenerek deney (20) ve kontrol (20) grupları oluşturulmuştur. Deney grubundaki öğrenciler 10 hafta boyunca 90 dakika süre ile araştırmacılar tarafından geliştirilen eleştirel düşünme eğitimi programından geçirilmişlerdir. Ön test, son test ve izleme testi puanları açısından yapılan değerlendirmeler sonunda deney grubunun eleştirel düşünme eğilimi puanlarının anlamlı düzeyde arttığı ve bunun izleme döneminde de korunduğu görülmüştür.

The aim of this study was improving the critical thinking skills of a group of university students. The study was carried out with 40 students between the ages of 19 and 22 studying at the Psychological Counseling and Guidance Department of Uludag University. In order to test the efficiency of the critical thinking education, the students were first given the critical thinking disposition inventory developed by Kökdemir (2003) and the experiment (20) and control (20) groups were assigned randomly. Throughout 10 weeks and in sessions of 90 minutes, the students in the experiment group were given the critical thinking education. At the end of the evaluations done as based on the points in the pretest, posttest and follow up test, it was seen that the critical thinking disposition points of the experiment group showed a significant difference, which was maintained during the follow up period as well.
