Klozapin hem pozitif ve hem de negatif belirtilerde etkin bir tedavi seçeneğidir. Bununla birlikte önemli yan etkileri de vardır. Agranülositoz, myokardit, nöbet gibi bazı yan etkileri hayati önem taşırken; diğer yan etkileri hayati önem taşımamakla birlikte hastanın yaşam konforunu ileri derecede etkileyebilir. Sialore, sedasyon, kilo alımı, enürezis gibi ilaç uyumunu bozan bu yan etkilerden dolayı klozapin kullanan hastaların %17 kadarının tedaviyi sonlandırdıkları bilinmektedir. Klozapin kullanımına bağlı enürezis az bildirilen bir yan etkidir ve sıklığı %0.23-41 gibi geniş bir aralıkta değişmektedir. Türk hasta popülasyonunda klozapin kullanımına bağlı bildirilen bir enürezis olgusuna rastlanmamıştır. Bu olgu ile klozapin kullanımına bağlı enürezis tablosu ve tedavi seçenekleri tartışılmıştır.

Clozapine is an effective treatment option for both positive and negative symptoms as well. However, it has significant side effects. Some of the side effects such as agranulocytosis, myocarditis and seizure are of vital importance; and some others are not of vital impartance but severely affect the comfort of the patient's life. Because of these side effects like sialorrhea, sedation, weight gain, enuresis which disturb the medication compliance, 17% of patients receiving clozapine is known to have left the treatment. Enuresis is a few reported side effect of clozapine and its frequency varies in a broad range of %0.23-41. Reported cases of enuresis in Turkish patient population due to the use of clozapine has not been found. In this case report, enuresis associated with the use of clozapine are and treatment options were discussed.
