Lise Öğrencileri Arasında İnternet Bağımlılığı ile Depresyon ve Dikkat Eksikliği Hiperaktivite Bozukluğu Arasındaki İlişki

eksikliği hiperaktivite bozukluğu (DEHB) arasındaki ilişkiyi incelemektir.
Yöntem: Çalışmaya 304 lise öğrencisi dahil edildi. Sosyodemografik Soru formu, İnternet Bağımlılığı Ölçeği
(İBÖ), Beck Depresyon Ölçeği (BDÖ), Erişkin DEB/DEHB Tanı ve Değerlendirme Envanteri (Turgay, Kasım
1995) kullanıldı.
Bulgular: Olguların %11? inde İB saptandı. Bulgularımıza göre erkekler interneti daha çok amaçsız dolaşmak
için kullanırken kızlar daha çok sohbet için kullanmaktadır. İB saptanan grubun İBÖ puanları ve DEHB
ölçeğinin dikkat eksikliği, hareketlilik dürtüsellik ve DEB/ DEHB ile ilişkili özellikler bölümlerinin her üçünde de
İB saptanmayanlara göre anlamlı ölçüde yükseklik saptanmıştır.
Sonuç: Çalışmamızın bulgularına göre İB, lise öğrencileri arasında oldukça yaygın olarak görülmektedir.
Çalışmamızda İB ile depresyon ve DEHB arasında ilişki tespit edilmiştir. İB ve psikiyatrik komorbitelere müdahale
ve önleme stratejileri geliştirmek için daha fazla çalışma gerekmektedir.
The Association Between Internet Addiction, Depression and ADHD Among High School Students
Aim: This study aims to investigate Internet addiction (IA) among high school students and to examine the correlation between IA, depression,
attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and socio-demographic features.
Materials and Methods: 304 students enrolled in high schools. A sociodemographic form, Internet Addiction Scale (IAS), Beck Depression
Inventory (BDI) and Adult ADD/ADHD Diagnosis and Evaluation Inventory (Turgay, 1995) was used to evaluate the subjects.
Results: 11% of the subjects in our study had IA. Prevalance of IA was higher among male subjects. Males were using the internet to 's urf?
and online gameplay while females were ?chatting?. Total BDI scores of the IA group higher than the rest of the subjects. Attention deficit,
impulsivity and activity, and ADD/ADHD related features subscale scores of IA group were also significantly higher than the rest of the subjects.
Conclusion: IA is fairly common among high school students according to our study. Depression and ADHD is associated with IA according to
our study. More studies are needed to be able to develop intervention and prevention strategies for IA and related psychiatric comorbidities.
