Amaç: Kriz, çeşitli zorlanmalar sonucunda meydana gelen akut ve süresi sınırlı bir denge bozukluğudur. Krize yol açan zorlanmalar stresli yaşam olaylarına bağlı olarak ortaya çıkabileceği gibi, bir dönemden diğerine geçişler de bireyi zorlayan dönüm noktaları olarak kriz yaşantısına dönüşebilir. Bu çalışmanın amacı son beş yılda (2004- 2009) A.Ü. Psikiyatrik Kriz Uygulama ve Araştırma Merkezine başvuran ergenlerin sorun alanlarının belirlenmesi, bir kriz yaşantısı olarak ergenlik dönemi ve ergenlik dönemine özgü kriz yaşantılarının değerlendirilmesidir. Yöntem: Kriz Merkezi kayıtları incelenerek son beş yıl içindeki 1259 başvurudan,

15-21 yaş grubunda olan 264 kişi çalışma kapsamına alınmış olup, hasta takip kartlarının taranması yoluyla elde edilen veriler, SPSS 12 programı kullanılarak değerlendirilmiştir. Sonuç: Kriz Merkezi'ne başvuran ergenler, toplam başvuruların % 20'sini oluşturmakta olup, bunun %70,4'ü kız ve %29,6'sı erkektir. Başvuruların %17'si ergenlik dönemine ilişkin kriz yaşantısı olup bir önemli başvuru nedeni ise sınav kaygısı (% 30) olarak görülmektedir. Bu çalışma aynı zamanda rastlantısal ve stresli yaşam olaylarının gelişimsel yaşam olaylarından daha yüksek oranda başvuruya neden olduğuna işaret etmektedir. 264 başvurunun 59'u(% 22,3) intihar düşüncesi ve 264 başvurunun (%8) intihar davranışıdır. Tartışma: Her ne kadar bu dönemde görülen stresli yaşam olayları kriz yaşantısına dönüşebilirse de gelişimsel bir dönem olarak ergenlik de bir yaşam krizine dönüşebilir. İster gelişimsel, isterse zorlayıcı bir yaşantıya bağlı olsun kriz yaşantısı ruhsal bir bozukluğa yol açabileceği gibi, ergen için bir fırsata dönüşebilir. Dolayısıyla krize müdahale akıl sağlığını korumaya hizmet eden bir işleyişe sahiptir. Profesyonellerin krize müdahale alanında donanımlı olması ilk müdahalenin yanı sıra yardım sağlayacak kurum ve kuruluşları harekete geçirmesi ruh sağlığı açısından büyük önem taşımaktadır.

Introduction: Crisis is an acute and short lasting disorder that is seen with loss of stability, caused by various kind of stres. Stressfull life events may cause crisis as well as changin-gover a life period to another may turn into a life crisis. The purpose of this study is to determine the problems of adolescents, life crisis spesific for adolescence and adolescence as a life crisis itself, in the last five [year]'s adolescent population referred to Ankara Universitiy Crisis Intervention Center. Methods and Materials: According to Crisis Intervetion Center records, 1259 individuals were accepted in the last five [year]s. 264 were 15-21 age group and included in the study. The data extracted from patient follow up notes evaluated by using SPSS 12 program. Results: Adolescent referral to Crisis, Intervention Center rate was 20% of total referrals. 70.4 % were female.and 29,6 % were male, Crisis related to the adolescence period rate was 17.% Another significant referral cause was performance anxiety related to examination, and found 30.% This study also indicates that accidental and stressfull life events cause higher referral rate than developmental life period events. 59 of 264 referrals (22,3%) had suicidal ideation and 21 of 264 (8%) had suicidal behaviour. Discussion: As a developmental period, adolescence may turn into a life crisis, however stressful life events that occurred during this period may cause life crisis. Whether related to a develompental period or a challenging life, life crisis may show progression to a mental disease, but it also is an opportunity for the adolescent for improvement. Therefore, crisis intervention will process as a preventive mental health service.Intervention will also improve adolescents to edal with other possible

crisis. Being educated for crisis intervention is important for mental health professionals for first intervention to a crisis patient as well as stimulating the supportive intitutions for reinforcement.
