Özgül Öğrenme Güçlüğü (ÖÖG) Dikkat Eksikliği Hiperaktivite Bozukluğu (DEHB) Birlikteliği ve Kontrol Gruplarının ÖÖG Bataryası İle Belirlenen Profilleri

Amaç: Özgül Öğrenme Güçlüğü (ÖÖG)'nde duyusal ve algısal süreçlerden öğrenme ve belleğe kadar pek
çok bilişsel sürecin bozukluğundan söz edilmekte ve ÖÖG ile dikkat eksikliği hiperaktivite bozukluğu
(DEHB) birlikteliği sık gözlenmektedir. Araştırmanın amacı kliniklerde ÖÖG değerlendirmesi yapılırken
belirli alt testleri kullanılan ÖÖG Bataryasının tümünü kullanmak ve tüm bataryanın tanı (ÖÖG,
ÖÖG+DEHB) ve kontrol gruplarında nasıl bir profil sergilediğini incelemektir. Yöntem: Çalışmanın örneklemi
bir çocuk psikiyatrisi polikliniğinde Eylül 2006- Aralık 2008 tarihleri arasında DSM-IV ölçütlerine
göre ÖÖG veya ÖÖG+DEHB tanısı alan, 1-5. sınıfa giden 78 erkek ile kontrol grubundaki 30 sağlıklı
erkek çocuktan oluşmuştur. Araştırmada Wechsler Çocuklar için Zekâ Ölçeği ile ÖÖG Bataryası uygulanmıştır.
Olguların anne/baba ve öğretmenlerine ise “Öğrenme Bozukluğu Belirti Tarama Listesi” ve “Yıkıcı
Davranım Bozuklukları için DSM-IV’e Dayalı Tarama ve Değerlendirme Ölçeği” uygulanmıştır. Sonuçlar:
Yapılan analizler iki tanı grubunun puanlarının birbirine yakın olduğunu göstermiş; Okuma ve Yazma
Testi puanları, sıralama becerisi puanları (alfabenin harfleri, günler-aylar), Gessel Şekilleri puanı ve Saat
Çizme Testi puanlarında tanı ve kontrol grubu arasında anlamlı farklar elde edilmiştir. Harris
Lateralleşme Testi puanları tanı ve kontrol gruplarında farklılaşmamıştır. Tartışma: Araştırmanın
sonuçları, öğrenme güçlüğü olan çocukların çok yönlü betimlenmesinde ve ÖÖG tanısının konmasında
ÖÖG Bataryasından yararlanılabileceğini ortaya koymuştur.
The Profiles Of Specific Learning Disability (SLD), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder Comorbid With SLD And Control Group Through The SLD Battery
Objective: Specific Learning Disability (SLD) is characterized by a spectrum of cognitive disorders ranging
from the sensory and perceptual to learning and memory. However, SLD is examined using only a
selected group of subtests in the SLD Battery. SLD is frequently observed with attention deficit hyperactivity
disorder (ADHD) comorbidity. The objective was find out the profiles of SLD, comorbid ADHD
with SLD (SLD+ADHD) and control group using the SLD Battery. Method: Sample consisted of 78 boys
who were equivalently distributed over Grades 1-5 of the primary school. They were diagnosed with
SLD or SLD + ADHD according to DSM- IV criteria in a child psychiatry clinic between September 2006
and December 2008. Control group consisted of 30 age-matched healthy boys. Alongside SLD Battery,
Wechsler Intelligence Test for Children, Learning Disorder Symptom Screening Scale and DSM–IV Based
Disruptive Behavior Disorders Screening and Rating Scale were also used. Results: One-way multivariate
analysis of variance showed that the SLD Battery scores of the clinical samples were not significantly
different. There were significant differences between the clinical samples and the control groups on
Reading and Writing Tests, ordering skills (letters of alphabet, days, [month]s), Gessel Figures and Draw
a Clock Test. Groups did not significantly differ on the Harris Lateralization Tests. Discussion: The
results of the present study showed that SLD Battery can be used for a multi-faceted description of children
and in diagnoses of disorders that involve SLD.
