Spinal tümörler tüm santral sinir sistemi tümörlerinin yaklaşık %15'ini oluşturur. Preoperatif tanı yöntemlerinin gelişmesiyle bu oran gün geçtikçe artmaktadır. Tümörün anatomik lokalizasyonunun iyi tespiti ve olası histopatoloji hakkında fikir sahibi olunması, cerrahi stratejinin planlanmasında oldukça önemli bir rol oynar. Bu çalışmada, kliniğimizde opere edilen spinal tümörlü hastaların, tümörlerin anatomik lokalizasyonları ile postoperatif kesin histopatolojik tanıları retrospektif olarak değerlendirildi. Olgularımızda uygulanan cerrahi teknikler, tümörlerin cins ve lokalizasyonlarına göre dağılımları literatür bulguları ile karşılaştırıldı ve tartışıldı.

Spinal cord tumors compose approximately 15% of all the central nervous system tumors. This rate increases by time with the development of the preoperative diagnostic techniques. Accurate anatomical lokalization and conjecture of the histopathology aid in planning of the strategy. In this study; the patients who were operated of spinal cord tumor were evaluated. Also the anatomical localizations and the postoperative definitive histopathological diagnosies of the patients are examined retrospectively. The surgical techniques applied in our patients, the histological and the localizations of the tumors are compared with those in literature and discussed.
