Gilles de la Tourette sendromu (TS) hem genetik, hem de çevresel faktörlerin beyin gelişimi ve
işlevini etkileyerek karmaşık bir nöropsikiyatrik bozukluğa yol açtığı nâdir tıbbî durumlardan
birisidir. Genellikle saf antidopaminerjik aktiviteye sâhip olan antipsikotiklerle tedavi edilmesi
önerilmektedir. Amisülpirid en saf antidopaminerjik etkili atipik antipsikotiktir ve konvansiyonel
antipsikotiklere oranla yan etki riskinin daha az olması belirgin avantaj sağlamaktadır.
Bu sebeple TS’nun tedavisinde ideâl bir seçenek olabileceği düşünülmektedir. Bu olgu sunumunda
da amisülpirid ile tedavi edilen bir TS olgusu tartışılacaktır.

Gilles de la Tourette’s syndrome (TS) is a rare clinical situation in which both genetic and environmental
factors cause a complex neuropsychiatric disorder by affecting the brain development
and functions. It is generally advised to treat TS with antipsychotic drugs that have pure
antidopaminergic activity. Amisulpiride has the highest selectivity of antidopaminergic effect
and causes less side effects compared to the conventional antipsychotic drugs. Thus, it is
thought to be an ideal alternative of TS treatment. In this case report, we will discuss a TS case
treated with amisulpiride.
