Amaç: Panik bozukluğu(PB) olan hastalarda eş tanı ve bozulmuş yeme davranışları olup olmadığını araştırmaktır.
Yöntem: Bu amaçla 30 PB hastasında eş tanıların araştırılmasının yanı sıra hastalara sosyodemografik bilgi
formu, Panik Agorofobi ölçeği (PAÖ), Panik Bozukluk Şiddeti ölçeği (PBŞÖ), Hamilton Depresyon ölçeği
(HDÖ), Hamilton Anksiyete ölçeği (HAÖ), Anksiyete Duyarlılığı ölçeği (ADÖ), Durumluluk ve Sürekli Kaygı
ölçeği (STAI), Yeme Tutum testi (YTT) ve Bulimia Araştırma testi (BİTE) uygulandı. Hastalar YTT ve BİTE testlerinin
kesim puanları göz önüne alarak bozulmuş yeme semptomu olan ve olmayan olmak üzere her bir
teste göre iki gruba ayrıldı. Gruplar elde edilen veriler açısından istatistiksel olarak karşılaştırıldı.
Bulgular: Hastaların %50’sinde en az bir eş tanı olduğu belirlendi. YTT ve BİTE’ye göre bozulmuş yeme
davranışı gösteren grubun STAI-durumluk ölçek puanı bozulmuş yeme davranışı göstermeyen gruba göre
anlamlı derecede yüksekti(p<0.05). Gruplar arasında diğer ölçümler için değerler arasında anlamlı fark
yoktu. YTT ve BİTE toplam puanları ile diğer ölçeklerin puanları arasında korelasyona bakıldığında YTT ile
STAI-durumluk (r=0,38) ve ADÖ (r=0,36) puanları; BİTE toplam puanı ile de STAI-durumluk ( r=0,53 )
puanı arasında pozitif korelasyon saptandı.
Sonuç: Çalışmamızda DSM-IV tanı kriterlerine göre yeme bozukluğu eş tanısı alan hastalar olmamasına rağmen,
bozulmuş yeme semptomları olduğu ve bu semptomların da anksiyete seviyesi ile ilişkili olduğu belirlendi.

Objective: The aim of this study was to investigate the frequency of current comorbidity and disordered eating behaviors or not in patients
with panic disorder.
Method: We researched thirty PD patients about comorbidity and also the Panic-Agorophobia scale (PAS), Panic Disorder Severity scale
(PDSS), Hamilton Depression scale (HDS), Hamilton Anxiety scale (HAS), Anxiety Sensitivity index (ASI), State and Trait Anxiety inventory (STAI),
Eating Attitudes test (EAT) and Bulimic Investigatory test, Edinburgh (BITE) were performed to these patients. Patients were divided into two
groups according to results of EAT and BITE whether they had disordered eating symptom or not. group’s results were compared with each
other statistically.
Results: Half of the patients had at least one comorbidity. According to EAT and BITE, the group with disordered eating behavior had significantly
higher STAI than group without disordered eating behavior (p<0.05). There were not significant differences between other measurments
(p>0.05). When we compared the total points of EAT and BITE with the other measurments points, we detected that positive correlation
between EAT and points of STAI (r = 0.38), ASI (r = 0.36) and also between BITE and and points of STAI (r= 0.53).
Conclusion: We detected eating behavior symptoms in PD patients and these symptoms were related with severity of anxiety level altough
our patients had not additional eating disorder symptoms according to DSM-IV diagnosis criteria.
