Bu yazı yas sürecine psikosomatik tıp çerçevesinde bir bakış sunmayı amaçlamıştır. Bunun için önce yas sürecinin kendisi kuramsal çerçevede ele alınmış ve ardından ilişkili literatür gözden geçirilerek yasın psikosomatik yansımalarının nasıl biçimlenmiş olabileceğine dair bir çerçeve oluşturulmaya çalışılmıştır. Yapılan çalışmalar ve vaka bildirimleri maruz kalınan kaybın hipotalamus hipofiz ve böbrek üstü aksının işleyişinde adaptasyonel değişimi de biçimlendiren ciddi bir stres oluşturduğuna ve bu aksın işleyişindeki değişikliğin sempatik sistem aktivitesindeki değişimle beraber psikosomatik hastalıkların ortaya çıkmasına ya da gidişinde alevlenmeye neden olabileceğine işaret etmektedir.

This review aimed to present a reconsideration about grief in psychosomatic medicine framework. For this aim, grief process was considered and than how psychosomatic reflections of grief occure is framed by reviewing the relevant literature. Studies and case reports have adressed two points: Bereavement shapes a severe stress with adaptational changing in the working of hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal axis. In addition the changing in the working of this axis and in sympathetic activity together can aggravate or elicit psychosomatic diseases.
