Beden-beyin-ruh-çevre etkileşimini, fiziksel tedavi bakın ile psikolojik tedavi ve bakımın birlikteliğini ortaya koyar.
Bu yazı, Konsültasyon-Liyezon Psikiyatrisi uzmanlık alanının tanım, işlev ve uygulamasını tanıtmakta, felsefesinin, dünyada ve ülkemizdeki tarihsel gelişimini sunmakta, genel tıpta ortaya çıkan psikiyatrik bozukluklar hakkında bilgi vermeyi amaçlamaktadır.

Consultation liaison psychiatry is a discipline, which unites medicine and psychiatry and establishes a psychological integrity to medical applications. CLP is one of the most important developments in the world psychiatry in 20th century. CLP involves the body-mind-environment interaction in medical settings and the application of psychiatric-psychosocial care to medically ill patients.
This article aims to provide information about the definition, function and application of subspecialty of CLP and to provide information about the philosophy and the development of CLP in the world and in Turkye. In addition information about psychiatric morbidity in medically ill population is provided.
