Demanslı Hastalarda BOS Kolin Düzeyleri ve Klinik Korelasyon

Bu çalışmada 19 Alzheimer Tipi Demans (ATD) ve 8 Alzheimer Dışı Demans (ADD) olgusunda beyin omurilik sıvısı (BOS) kolin düzeyleri ölçüldü. Elde edilen değerler 12 kontrol olgusu ile karşılaştırıldı. Demans sendromu tanısı almış (ATD ve ADD) olguların ortalama BOS kolin düzeyi 2420±850 pmol/ml (n= 27), kontrol grubunda ise 900±570 pmol/ml (n« 12) bulundu. Aradaki fark ileri derecede anlamlı idi (p< 0.05), ATD'lı olguların BOS kolin düzeyleri 2480±910 pmol/ml (n= 19), ADD lı olguların ise 2270±510 pmol/ml (n= 8) bulundu. Her iki grubun BOS kolin düzeyleri kontrol grubundan anlamlı olarak yüksekti (p< 0.05). Kendi aralarında ise belirgin bir fark yoktu (p> 0.05).
The CSF Choline Levels in Demented Patients and Clinical Correlation
In this study, CSF choline values of 19 patients with Alzheimer Type Dementia (ATP) and 8 non-Alzheimer type aementia (NATO) were measured and compared with 8 non-Alzheimer
Type Dementia (NATD) and 12 control cases. CSF choline level of the patients with ATD was 2420+850 pmol/ml but it was 900±570 pmol/ml for the control group. The difference between the choline values of these two groups was statistically significant (P< 0.05). The mean choline value of the patients with ATD was 24801910 pmol/ml, whereas that of NATD patients was 2270+.510 pmol/ml. The difference between the choline values of both of the groups and control group was statististically significant (p< 0.05), but not for both demential groups (p> 0.05).
