Dikkat Eksikliği ve Hiperaktivite Bozukluğuna Yönelik Stigma Algısı ve İlişkili Faktörler: Hemşirelik Öğrencileri Perspektifi

Amaç: Bu çalışmanın amacı dikkat eksikliği ve hiperaktivite bozukluğu (DEHB) ile ilgili stigma algısı, etkileyen faktörler ve ruhsal hastalıklara yönelik inanç ile ilişkisini belirlemektir. Gereç ve Yöntem: Araştırma tanımlayıcı ve ilişki arayıcı desende yürütülmüştür. Araştırmada örneklem seçimine gidilmemiştir. Bir üniversitenin hemşirelik bölümüne devam eden ve araştırmaya gönüllü olarak katılmak isteyen 535 hemşirelik öğrencisi araştırmaya dahil edilmiştir. Araştırma verileri öğrenci veri formu, DEHB Stigma ölçeği (DSÖ) ve Ruhsal Hastalığa Yönelik İnançlar ölçeği (RHYİÖ) ile toplanmıştır. Verilerin analizinde tanımlayıcı istatistikler, fark istatistikleri ve ilişki analizi kullanılmıştır. Bulgular: Öğrencilerin yaş ortalaması 20,59±1,79’dur. DSÖ puan ortalaması 65,18±10,03’tür. RHYİÖ alt boyut puan ortalamaları incelendiğinde sırası ile en yüksek puanı “Zayıf Sosyal ve Kişilerarası Beceri Alt ölçeği” 22,70±7,47, “Tehlikelilik Alt ölçeği” 13,98±4,50 ve son olarak da “Çaresizlik Alt ölçeği” 13,64±5,34 aldığı görülmektedir. Stigma Perspectives of People with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder and Related Factors: Nursing Students’ Perspective
Objectives: The aim of this study is to determine stigma perceptions regarding attention deficit and hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) among nursing students, the factors affecting these perceptions, and the relationship between beliefs and mental illnesses. Materials and Methods: The study was carried out using a descriptive and correlational search design. No sample was selected in the study: 535 nursing students in the nursing department of a university, who had agreed to participate, were included in the study. The data were collected using the student data form, the ADHD Stigma scale (ADHDSS), and the Beliefs Regarding Mental Illnesses scale (BRMIS). Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, difference statistics, and relationship analysis. Results: The mean age of the students was 20.59±1.79 years. The ADHDSS mean score was 65.18±10.03. Upon examining the mean BRMIS scores, it was determined that the highest scores were 22.70±7.47, 13.98±4.50, and 13.64±5.34 in the Weak Social and Interpersonal Skill subscale, the Dangerousness Subscale and the Desperation Subscale, respectively.
