Bu araştırmanın amacı, liselerde görev yapan idarecilerin ve branş öğretmenlerinin, psikolojik danışmanların nöbet tutmasının okul rehberlik ve psikolojik danışma hizmetleri üzerindeki etkilerine ilişkin görüşlerinin incelenmesidir. Araştırmanın amacı doğrultusunda idareci ve branş öğretmenlerinin konuya ilişkin genel değerlendirmelerinin yanında nöbet tutan psikolojik danışmanın ulaşılabilirliği, verimliliği ve öğrenci ile iletişiminin nöbet görevinden nasıl etkilendiğine dair görüşleri belirlenmeye çalışılmıştır. Betimleyici durum çalışmasının kullanıldığı bu nitel araştırmada veriler, yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme tekniği ile liselerde görev yapan 3 okul müdürü, 7 müdür yardımcısı ve 25 branş öğretmeninden elde edilmiştir. Katılımcılardan elde edilen veriler içerik analizi tekniği ile çözümlenmiştir. Elde edilen bulgular sonucunda katılımcılar, psikolojik danışmanların nöbet tutmasının öğrencinin psikolojik danışmana ulaşmasını güçleştirdiğini, öğrenci ve psikolojik danışman arasındaki ilişkinin bu durumdan olumsuz etkilendiğini, nöbet tutarken sunulmakta olan diğer PDR hizmetlerine ilişkin verimin düştüğünü belirtmiştirler. Sonuç olarak, psikolojik danışmanların nöbet tutmasının okul PDR hizmetleri üzerinde olumsuz etkileri olacağı görüşü büyük oranda okul idarecileri ve öğretmenler tarafından da paylaşılmaktadır.

The aim of the present qualitative study is to present how high school administrator and teachers view the professional efficiency of school counselors who currently have guard duty. For this purpose, opinions of high school administrator and teachers were investigated concerning the accessibility and productivity of the school counselors and how the counselor-student relationship is impacted by the guard duty, along with the participants’ general evaluation. The data in the present descriptive case study was collected from three high school principals, seven deputy directors and twenty-five teachers using a semistructured interview schedule. Content analysis was used as a research technique in order to analyze the data. As shown in the study, the general evaluation of the participants on the school counselors’ guard duty was mostly negative. Moreover, the participants mostly considered the duty to be obstructing with regards to school counselors’ accessibility. Concerning the productivity of the counselors, most of the participants explained that the guard duty had a diminishing impact on the productivity of the service. When participants were asked to consider the counselor-student relationship before and after the legal assignment of guard duty and whether/how it has been affected by the duty, it was mostly expressed that the relationship was negatively impacted. In consequence, the view of the field’s experts claiming that the guard duty would affect school counseling services negatively is shown to be shared by the school administrators and teachers.
