Okul Psikolojik Danışmanlarının Cinsiyet, Deneyim ve Öz Yeterliklerine Göre Engelli Bireylerin Eğitilmesine Yönelik Tutumlarının İncelenmesi

Bu çalışmanın amacı okul psikolojik danışmanlarının engelli bireylerin eğitilmesine
yönelik tutumlarında cinsiyet, deneyim sahibi olma ve öz yeterlik düzeyleri açısından
farklılık olup olmadığını incelemektir. Araştırmaya Akdeniz bölgesinde yer alan iki ilde görev
yapan 345 okul psikolojik danışmanı katılmıştır. Araştırmada veri toplama araçları olarak
“Engelli Bireylerin Eğitilmesine Yönelik Tutum Ölçeği” ve “Rehber Öğretmen Özel Eğitim Öz
Yeterlik Ölçeği” kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın bulgularında cinsiyet açısından eğitimin
yaygınlaştırılması alt boyutunda, deneyim açısından eğitim sonuçlarına ilişkin inanç ve
gönüllü katılım alt boyutlarında manidar farklılıklar olduğu görülmüştür. Ayrıca öz yeterlik
düzeylerine göre ayrılan okul psikolojik danışmanlarının engelli bireylerin eğitimine ilişkin
tutumlarında hem genel puanlar, hem de özel eğitim alanına yatırım, eğitimin
yaygınlaştırılması ve gönüllü katılım alt boyutlarında manidar farklılıklar olduğu
görülmüştür. Araştırmadan elde edilen bulgular engellilere yönelik yapılan çalışmalar ve
verilen hizmetler bağlamında tartışılmıştır.
Examining the Attitudes of School Counsellors Towards Education of Disabled Individuals According to Their Gender, Experience and Self-Efficacy
The aim of this study is to examine whether there are differences in attitudes of
school counselors in terms of their gender, experience and self-efficacy levels in education of
people with disabilities. 345 school counselors working in two different Mediterranean
region cities participated in the study. “Attitude Scale Related to Education of People With
Disabilities” and “Counselor Special Education Self-Efficacy Scale” were used as data
collection tools. Significant differences were found in generalization of education sub
dimension in terms of gender, belief and voluntary participation sub dimensions related to
education results in terms of experience. Besides, again significant differences were spotted
in both general points and investment in special education field, generalization of education
and voluntary participation sub dimensions in attitudes of school counselors differing in self-
efficacy levels related to the education of people with disabilities. These findings obtained
from study were discussed within the context of both activities done related to the education
of people with disabilities and the services given.
