Ergenlik büyük değişimlerin yaşandığı bir dönemeç­tir. Ergen, bir yandan cinsiyet kazanan bedeni karşı­sında anksiyete yaşarken ve kayıplarının yasım tu­tarken, bir yandan da bu değişime uyum sağlamak durumundadır. Bu kırılgan dönemde anababanın tu­tumu da en az ergenin değişimleri kabulü kadar önemlidir. Bu yazıda sözkonusu değişimlerin ergen­deki yansımaları ele alınmıştır. Ergenlik dönemine özgü süreçlerin kimi patolojilerin gelişmesine zemin hazırlayabileceği kısa olgu örnekleriyle vurgulanmış­tır.

Adolesence is a turning point where important tran­sitions are experienced. An adolescent, while mour­ning for his/her losses and feeling anxiety towards his/her body gaining its gender, must also adopt to this transition. During this fragile period, the attitu­des of parents are important as musch as the appro­val of this transition by the adolescent him/her self. In this article, the way the adolescent experiences these tranisitions are reviewed. Using case wignettes, it is also stated that, these processes specific to ado­lescence might cause some psychopathological states.
